# One connector at a time

After revoke/debug or a clean start, reconnect only one payer/brokerage/MCP connector at a time, with review-before-place on, funded only to the session ceiling — never re-enable the whole stack at once. Pairs with revoke-before-debug, fund-session-ceiling, review-before-place. Agent Lane does not place trades or hold wallets.

## Answer first

When you reopen a spend path: fund only the session ceiling, enable a single payer/brokerage/MCP rail, keep review before place on, prove that path with one small reviewed action — then enable the next. Batch-flipping every connector back on is how a leftover grant or bad prompt spends across many rails at once.

## Why re-enabling the whole stack is the failure mode

- **Many rails, one bad prompt** — brokerage, payer, and crypto MCP tools all live; a retry or leftover grant can fire place/pay/sign on every open path.
- **Fat sleeve, open stack** — funding above the ceiling while you flip everything on turns one missed review into a multi-rail fill.
- **Shared box, batch reconnect** — another user inherits every connector you just restored instead of one prove-out rail.

Revoke closes the pipe. Caps and funding bound how much. Review stops the first bad place. One connector at a time limits which rails are live while you prove the path.

## What it means

1. Pipe closed first — finish [revoke-before-debug.md](./revoke-before-debug.md), or start clean.
2. Ceiling funded only — empty/park excess, then [fund-session-ceiling.md](./fund-session-ceiling.md).
3. One rail — enable a single payer, brokerage, or MCP connector; leave the rest off.
4. Review on — [review-before-place.md](./review-before-place.md).
5. Prove, then next — one small reviewed action; only then enable the next connector the same way.

## Shield stack

1. [dedicated-agent-wallet.md](./dedicated-agent-wallet.md) — money the bot can reach.
2. [agent-spend-caps.md](./agent-spend-caps.md) — write the numbers.
3. [fund-session-ceiling.md](./fund-session-ceiling.md) — empty/park excess, fund only that ceiling.
4. [review-before-place.md](./review-before-place.md) — human gate.
5. Venue — one connector at a time (this page).
6. [revoke-before-debug.md](./revoke-before-debug.md) — kill-and-isolate on incident.

## How to reconnect one connector at a time

1. Confirm the pipe is closed (revoke done or clean start).
2. Fund only the session ceiling.
3. Pick one connector; leave the rest off.
4. Enable that one connector only.
5. Keep review before place on.
6. Prove the path with one small reviewed action; then add the next — one at a time.

## Practical checklist

- Reconnect order memorized — pipe closed → fund ceiling → one connector → review on → prove → then next.
- No batch enable — do not flip brokerage, payer, and crypto MCPs on together.
- Sleeve at the ceiling — [dedicated-agent-wallet.md](./dedicated-agent-wallet.md), [fund-session-ceiling.md](./fund-session-ceiling.md).
- Shared-box pass — [shared-box.md](./shared-box.md).

## FAQ

**What does one connector at a time mean?**
After revoke/debug or a clean start, reconnect only one payer/brokerage/MCP connector, keep review on, fund only the session ceiling — prove that path before the next. Never flip the whole stack on at once.

**Why is re-enabling the whole stack a failure mode?**
A bad prompt or leftover grant can fire place/pay/sign across every live connector. Isolating to one connector bounds the blast radius.

**Where in the shield stack?**
Dedicated wallet → spend caps → fund ceiling → review → venue opened one connector at a time. Incident: revoke before you debug, then reconnect this way.

**Minimum reconnect order?**
Pipe closed → fund ceiling → one connector → review on → prove → then next. No batch-enable.

**Replace revoke, caps, funding, or review?**
No — you need the full stack.

**When even if nothing failed?**
After every revoke, clean session start, new payer/brokerage MCP, and overnight return with connectors off.
